Light Denim

I love the look of light colored jeans (or cut offs) with casual tops. Its so great just to throw on and you can change the look if needed. Add a few more accessories and you have the perfect outfit for a summer night out with your friends. Here are a few of my favorite looks right now:

Color Blocking

I have a new obsession and it is color block dresses and tops. I love how you can pair a neutral top and just add a small pop of color and the whole look changes. Here are a few items I have recently fallen in love with:
this look came from a GREAT local boutique in Athens called Cheeky Peach. I saw this dress at their fashion show and went to buy it the next day
I love how perfect this cute dress is for springtime. The colors are light and happy
and of course this top is amazing because it is neutral colors. I'M OBSESSED

Paula Deen's Mexican Casserole

This past week and the upcoming few weeks my school schedule is packed (along with everyone else's who is about to graduate). So naturally instead of making sure I stay on top of my work and finish things a few days in advance I decided that pinterest would be something more interesting to me. This semester I have found one of my favorite recipe's on the site and have made it numerous times (with a few changes to spice it up a bit). Being a poor college student it is really easy to make and inexpensive (and it refrigerate and reheats well).

Ingredients:
1- 10 3/4 ounce can of cream of chicken soup
1- 10 3/4 ounce can of cheddar cheese soup
1- 10 3/4 ounce can of cream of mushroom soup
1- 10 ounce can of Rotel diced tomatoes and green chile peppers (she suggests just diced tomatoes)
1- rotisserie chicken shredded
1- package flour tortillas
2 cups of shredded Mexican flavored cheese

Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
2. In a mixing bowl, add the three types of soup with the Rotel and the shredded chicken
3. In an oven safe dish place the tortillas on the bottom, put the soup rotel and shredded chicken mixture on top, place more tortillas on the top of that and then sprinkle the cheese on top.
4. Put in the oven and bake for 30 minutes
5. I personally like to serve with Pace Picante sauce to add more flavor to the casserole.

This flavorful casserole does not get boring to me I can reheat it and eat until it is finished!

*I have adapted this recipe from one I found on Paula Deen's recipe website.

My Style

For all of you who know me and my style you know that my color selection stays very neutral. I love greys, blacks, whites, and tans. My mom and friends tell me I actually need more color in my wardrobe, but I think classic look and classic colors are the key to a perfect stylish wardrobe. These are some of my favorites right now and I LOVE how timeless these outfits and pieces are. Of course, when I move to Paris I will be surrounded by the birthplace of fashion so I need to make sure I look great at all times.

A New Adventure

Hello All! I have decided to start a blog to show the things I love... food, architecture, fashion and of course the city of lights, Paris. About a week ago I confirmed a job in Paris starting in late August/Early September. There I will be an au pair for a wonderful family and I cannot wait to get back to Paris and experience more of the Parisian lifestyle. Just two summers ago I found my true love (Paris of course) and have always known that I will one day return and my dream is finally becoming a reality! This is my first post of my first ever blog so throw me a bone while I get used to this thing!
